Why does my TikTok video look low quality after upload?
TikTok compresses on upload, and it compresses harder when the app is uploading over a weak connection or when the source file is already compressed. Export at 1080x1920, keep the bitrate high, upload on Wi-Fi, and turn on the app's high-quality upload setting under Settings, Content preferences. Downloading in HD here gets you the best copy TikTok kept, but it cannot restore detail the upload already discarded.
Can I download anonymously?
Yes. You never sign in, nothing is tied to a profile, and the creator is not told that a download happened. Viewing a TikTok anonymously is a separate matter — that depends on how you opened the post in TikTok itself, not on what happens here.
